I put my daughter’s stuffed animals on the top shelf of her closet, and I think they fit quite well. She also has an extra toy organizer in her closet that I think would work very well for her stuffed animals but it is already filled with her toys! The problem i’m having is that I want my daughter to have access to her stuffed animals so she can play with them whenever. But with her toy organizer and bookshelf in her closet there is no more room in there, and our living room is already overflowing with toys! Help?

I want to hang something above my closet door, I had christmas lights, but is there anything else that I should use instead? Something like a feather boa, or garland thing I can make?

Me and my sister share a small box of a room. I’m 18, she’s 14.
The furniture we have now is:
- single bunk bed
- long dresser (almost as long as the bed)
- work desk (half as long as the bed)
- bureau (it’s in our closet ATM)
- shelf, about as long and tall as the desk

We have no room. I’m currently sleeping in my basement on my couch because I can no longer stand living in that prison cell. My parents bought the bulkiest furniture, and it’s almost impossible to organize our room. It’s stuffy, there’s only one window, which doesn’t let in any light, it always smells like pee and sweat in our room because the room next to ours is our little brothers’ room and they both wet their beds. Our main light doesn’t work, it’s a dark yellow light, and one of the wires is broken in it so it flickers loudly when we turn the light on. Other than that light, we have a small lamp, which doesn’t give off any light.

I tried throwing a bunch of stuff out, but there’s not much more I can throw out that I don’t need.
I have a lot of makeup because before I wanted to be a makeup artist, so now I have a bunch of makeup lying around which I want to keep for the future. I use my small desk for my makeup, my work, my papers, and my computer. But I moved my computer to my basement because it was too hot in my room and the computer fan isn’t strong enough for that heat so the computer kept crashing on me.

How do I make my bedroom comfortable? I haven’t slept in my own bed for weeks because I hate it up there. I can’t make the basement my bedroom because my mom wants to take it from me for her office.

I try to put as much as I can in my closet, such as my bureau for my clothes, but then there isn’t much hanging space, so my hanging stuff either gets squished to the back, or left on the floor. I can barely get into my closet so my room is always a mess because I give up trying to squeeze myself in there, therefore making my room a giant mess of clothes on the floor.

I want to get a closet organizer but I keep asking my parents and they never get me one.

How am I supposed to organize my room?!?! Please help before my mom kicks me out of the basement!!

Except without the pockets and it’s not pink. It just has the shelf things. I guess I could get an under-the-bed storage thing, like this:

And what else that is left in my closet after that are just shirts that need to be hung, as well as about 3 pairs of pants which could be folded. I could get another one of the 6-drawer things, because I really like those. I have a 6-drawer dresser, but I use 3 drawers for my makeup, hair appliances and products and perfumes, lotions etc. The other three drawers are for bandannas, knee high socks I only wear once in a while, and some other things, I have my bathing suits in the other, and clothes I wear when I wash the cars, do yard work, help paint a room stuff like that. So would this be good, or do you have any other suggestions? Please help! Thanks a bunch! =)

Ok, so there is a video down below of my hideous room. I am not allowed to paint or anything drastic. Because when my little sister (who lives somewhere else) comes over on the weekend this is her room to….I am 14….and in grade 9. I am starting school in a week and I want my room to feel like MY room. I love the colour purple. And my room is so tiny! I want to know some fast, (as in couple of hours) effecient ways to get this done. Yes, I will be going to the dollar store a little bit later, so I can grab a few things, but that is later on, the dollar store we have has all kinds of stuff……not very big, but they have alot of kitchen and cleaning stuff…so just please suggestions? I also have lotsa shoes..I will try to get one of those things that go in the closet for it? I can get some boxes and organisers? I just need a good organising system. Also, anything that I can do TODAY with nothing other than dollar store stuff (not allowed to tape or pin stuff on the walls) so I can make it look BIGGER, and OLDER. Like for my age? Without changing much? The beds are to heavy to move, as are the dressers, but the two dressers are not impossible. The beds can move a little bit. An the little kids stuff on that shelf (the clothes and stuff) I am getting rid of, those are my little sisters, they are going in the hallway! So, any organising techniques exclusively for this stupid room? It looks so young….I want it to feel like somewhere I can go to relax…..and I do alot of hair stuff as my hair is massive, as well as paint my nails alot….so if you can incorporate that a bit? I did reply to your email. Also if anyone wants to see the video of my whole room, please email using a hotmail or live account preferably whatisupinthistown@hotmail.ca only way I can send you it. I just spent a fortune on this sticky tack to tape stuff up withhout damaging the walls, so what kinda things can I print off to put on the walls that will look good and make the room look older? and possibly bigger? (I have one wall white, one wall pink, one wall blue and one wall striped pink, blue and white. Cotton candy blue and pink, hideous)
